Operation Warm for residents

Chicago, IL – Friday, February 21st: Next Move Community Services, located at 3224 Ridge Rd, Lansing, Illinois, hosted their annual Operation Warm for residents. The giveaway featured shoes for youth in sizes 5-9.

“Today’s event focused on donating to the community. We contacted individuals on the waitlist and partnered with Operation Warm and Ziegler Subaru of Schererville. Through this collaboration, Operation Warm donated 120 pairs of shoes, which range in size from toddler to kids’ sizes up to five. Participants received free shoes and had the opportunity to learn about our programs, along with access to various resources,” provided Endy, Communication Manager.

Additionally, Next Move is involved in a Lead Safety project that removes hazardous lead from homes.

“We are working with a lead hazard removal program where residents can apply to have their homes inspected for lead. If lead is found, it will be removed from the home at no cost,” Nicole added.

Next Move Community Services is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2018. Their vision is to be a beacon of resources that supports the health, success, and happiness of all community members.

The organization has partnered with various human service agencies and community-based organizations to provide access to essential programs and resources dedicated to serving families in the South Chicagoland area.
