On Sunday, October 22, 2023, Rev. Dr. Ray C. Bonney, Pastor Emeritus of Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church, inspired the congregation by holding a pastoral installation service for Rev. Gregory T. Posley, Sr. The theme, “Onward and Upward” based on Philippians 3:14, encouraged everyone to continue moving forward in their spiritual journey and to strive towards greater heights.
The festivities started with the Praise Team of Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church performing the popular song “Every Praise” by Hezekiah Walker. The energy in the room was electric as the team’s performance filled the space with excitement and joy.
Following the performance, the event continued with customary protocols and greetings from various leaders in the Baptist community, including Rev. James C. Boyd, President of the Baptist Pastors Conference of Chicago, James R. Flint Jr., 1st Vice President of the Baptist General State Convention of IL, Inc., and Dr. Alvin Love, President of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc.

Moderator of Greater New Era District Association.

Guest Preachers included were Pastor Richard F. Patterson, Pastor Booker J. Person, Greater Bethel Baptist Church, Akron, Ohio, Pastor Walter Turner of New Spiritual Light Baptist Church, Rev. Jesse Lee of Greater Shiloh MBC, and Pastor Walter L. Taylor.
