Working together to rebuild trust and engagement

Chicago's 9th district police, Loderbar Church, Faith Blue

Chicago’s 9th District Police Department presented its annual FAITH & BLUE event this year, which was held in partnership with Lodebar Church & Ministries and House of His Presence Church.

Faith & Blue facilitates safer and stronger communities by engaging law enforcement officers and residents through the connections of faith-based organizations.

Despite the chilly weather on Sunday evening, the event was a great success! There were so many positive interactions between law enforcement and the community, and it was inspiring to see everyone come together for a common cause. The celebration was held on the premises of Loderbar Church, 5201 S. Princeton, Chicago, IL.

Building trust requires transparency, honesty, and open communication.

The event kicked off with a heartwarming group prayer from Bishop Knox, who is the senior pastor of Loderbar Church. He and his wife, Prophetess Brenda Knox, have been pillars of support for the community for many years. Their unwavering dedication and commitment to helping others have made a significant impact on the lives of many people. The prayer was a great way to start the event.

There was plenty of food, music, and vendors. The 9th District’s Officers provided CAPS information for residents who attended. There were plenty of activities for the kids like bouncy houses, games, and other activities.

“We need to be willing to listen to each other’s concerns and work towards finding solutions that benefit everyone. By doing so, we can create a stronger and more united community. Let’s work together to restore trust and build a brighter future for all of us,” Bishop Knox said.
