Welcome to Samantha’s Home Daycare (Before & After School Care)

Where the adventure of learning starts!

It takes a village—and choosing the right one to care for our children is one of the most important decisions a family can make.

A quality daycare provides more than supervision—it lays the foundation for a child’s social, emotional, and cognitive development within a safe, nurturing environment rooted in trust and community.

Samantha Black

Samantha’s Home Daycare is owned and operated by Ms. Samantha Black, located on the far southeast side of Chicago. Ms. Samantha is the youngest of three. She began her babysitting career at the tender age of 14. She is a proud mother of three children, ranging in age from 16 to 24 years old.

Samantha is a lifelong Chicago native who remains deeply invested in the families and neighborhoods she serves.

She is a graduate of Jones Commercial High School (formerly) and an alumna of City Colleges of Chicago–Olive Harvey College, where she pursued studies in Early Childhood Education. Ms. Samantha plans to continue her academic journey by pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Childhood Development at Chicago State University in Summer 2026.

Additionally, SHD offers affordable, high-quality childcare with customized early learning programs designed to meet each child’s unique developmental needs. The program includes access to on-site therapeutic support resources through La Rabida Children’s Hospital-Child & Family Connections and places a strong emphasis on Early Intervention.

Individualized learning plans are paired with daily activities that maximize brain development, including right-brain training, flash card learning, sensory-based activities, numeracy exercises, and early literacy instruction. This proven approach supports memory, creativity, problem-solving, and language development during the critical stage of rapid brain growth.

Samantha’s Home Daycare goes beyond just providing education; it serves as a fun and trusted partner for families.

SHD has developed strong partnerships with parents, local organizations, and service providers. Additionally, SHD has fostered a supportive environment where children and families feel valued, connected, and empowered.

SHD is fully licensed and registered with the State of Illinois. As part of this licensure, the daycare undergoes regular and unannounced inspections, ensuring ongoing compliance with state standards and a continued commitment to safety, quality care, and excellence.

Your Voice. Your Stories. Your Community.

3:16 Magazine provides readers with a free, independent news source that focuses on our community. We publish articles about individuals making a difference and share stories that mainstream media often overlooks or ignores.

Our goal is to deliver news stories that present the truth and factual information. Many people criticize mainstream media for not reporting the truth, yet often those same individuals do not support platforms that genuinely uphold this standard. Our platform highlight individuals who have overcome incarceration to uplift their communities, barbers who have dedicated decades to their craft, survivors of abuse who are finding their voices, and entrepreneurs building businesses that serve their neighbors. These are the stories that matter. These are the voices that deserve to be heard.
