Sherrie Robinson: Helping men and women, through life coaching

Sherrie Robinson is an author and certified life coach based in Chicago. She comes from humble beginnings and was raised in a two-parent household. Family was very important to her, and she was raised with a strong focus on education and self-improvement.

She started Arise and Shine life coaching in 2024, with a lens on helping Christian women and men, particularly those in toxic relationships, to build their confidence and navigate their relationships.

“I’m always being told to be myself, be who God is calling me to be.  And I always like to instill that into my clients to be who you are and work on being the best version of yourself.”

In the beginning, Sherrie wanted to work only with women as a life coach but has since expanded to work with men, finding it rewarding to help them as well.

Additionally, Sherrie discovered that men also sought her assistance. One male client has been working with her to navigate his current relationship. He is now contemplating the future, including thoughts about marriage and children. Sherrie has been supporting him throughout this entire transitional phase.

Sherrie’s coaching process is customized to each client, but she has a set template she follows to meet them where they are and provide guidance.

“I just really try to meet the person where they are and just try to work with them as far as the particular relationship that they’re in.”

However, Sherrie still struggles with confidence issues herself, which she finds helpful in relating to and supporting her clients who are also working on building their confidence.

“I find it interesting that when working with others, God often highlights issues we have faced or are currently facing ourselves. Confidence is one of those issues that affects each of us individually. For me, collaborating with both men and women of faith often involves helping them build their confidence. I still struggle with this daily, so I rely on strength from the Lord to support others.”

Sherrie is hosting her first conference, July 12th, called the “Girl, Get Up! and Empowerment Conference and Brunch”, featuring amazing speakers and aimed at empowering both men and women through the word of God.

“I am excited to announce my first conference, which I am hosting through my life coaching business. This event has truly been inspired by the Holy Spirit and was conceived late last year. It will be on Saturday, July 12th, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the DoubleTree Hilton in Alsip, Illinois.”

The conference features some exceptional speakers, including Keynote Speaker Apostle Sandie A. Norman, along with several other guests traveling from out of town. This event presents a fantastic opportunity for both men and women to hear the word of God and be inspired by it.
