A Chicago nonprofit is on a mission to make sure the next generation grows up knowing how to handle their money — and they are starting with the South Side.
The Center for Housing, Education, and Financial Fitness (CFORHEF), spearheaded by Delores Allen, is offering a free Youth Financial Empowerment Mini-Series Workshop at the Gary Comer Youth Center, 7200 S. Ingleside Avenue in Chicago.
The program is designed to give young people ages 11 to 21 the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to build a strong financial foundation that lasts a lifetime.
What the Workshop Offers
The mini-series is built around hands-on learning — engaging courses that teach smart money habits and confident decision-making in a supportive, encouraging environment. Participants receive ongoing guidance to help them reach their personal financial goals, and are recognized with awards and incentives as they grow and demonstrate their commitment.
The philosophy is simple and powerful: Your Future, Your Terms.
