Appreciation Service to honor Rev. Franklin F.W. Williams

Chicago, IL – On Friday, April 26th, Rev. Oliver L. Schaffer, senior pastor at Beautiful Gate M. B. Church, held an Appreciation Service to honor Rev. Franklin F.W. Williams, Associate Pastor of BGC. The event took place at Beautiful Gate M.B Church located at 5931 South Wentworth Ave, Chicago, IL.

At the beginning of the service, everyone present was moved by the devotion delivered by Dec. Robert Philips. He introduced the M.C. of the evening, Sis. Tara Henderson did an excellent job.

During the service, tributes were given by Sis. Velmatine Henderson, Sis. Evelyn Williams, Mr. Samuel DuBois, and Congressman Davis. Sis. Williams said that Rev. Williams was like a big brother to her and that he had a street sign in his honor at 63rd and Kenwood, which he wanted everyone to know.

The Young Men of Beautiful Gate put on an awe-inspiring musical performance that left the audience spellbound. Their melodious voices and skilled musicianship filled the air with the perfect blend of harmony and rhythm. In addition, Sis. Tontanesh Jones took the stage and delivered a captivating performance that showcased the power and range of her magnificent powerful voice.

Special guests included Congressman Danny K. Davis of the 7th Congressional District, Samuel Dubois from the Office of Adult Education at Olive Harvey College, Rev. Derrick Clifton of Mount Sinai Church, and guest speaker Dr. Isaac Floyd of Joy Fellowship MB Church.

In closing, Rev. Franklin L.W. Williams and the entire Beautiful Gate Church expressed their gratitude to everyone for their support and for contributing to the success of the Appreciation Service.
