Last year, the head Deacon, Vernon Cotton of Cosmopolitan Community Church, ordained 4 new Deacons. During the ordination, he expressed the following:
“It is with great joy and humble gratitude that I stand before you on this blessed occasion – a day of celebration, consecration, and commitment. Today, we honor a sacred moment in the life of our church: the ordination of those who have been called, prepared, and appointed by God to serve His people through the Ministry of the Diaconate,” – an office in the Christian churches that is associated with SERVICE.
In recent years, the following four candidates have demonstrated devotion through prayer, study, and service: Sister Charisse Anderson, Brother Russell Lee, Brother Robert Smith, and Brother Anthony Wills. They have shown steadfast faith, humility, and a genuine desire to serve God, the church, and our community.
CCC’s Deacon Ministry, presented all four candidates who have completed their training and were prepared to be ordained as the Cosmopolitan Community Church’s 2025 Class of Deacons.”
Sister Charisse Anderson – A woman of grace and compassion, whose heart for service shines brightly in all she does.
Brother Russell Lee – A faithful servant and steadfast supporter of this ministry, walking in humility and quiet strength.
Brother Robert Smith – A man of prayer and integrity, committed to the work of the Lord with consistency and devotion.
Brother Anthony Wills – A servant leader with a willing spirit, always ready to lend a hand and uplift those around him.
These four individuals have proven themselves faithful in both word and deed. They have diligently studied to show themselves approved, served with excellence, and conducted themselves with the character befitting those called to this sacred office.
The Deacon Ministry said, “we stand with them- pledging our continued prayer, mentorship, and encouragement as they begin this new chapter of ministry. May God bless each of them with strength for the journey ahead, wisdom for every decision, and a heart that always seeks to glorify Him through service. Pastor, we now present to you the 2025 Class of Deacons. May the work they do from this day forward bring honor to God, growth to this ministry, and love to His people.”
Rev. Dr. Eric D. Clopton, Sr. : Installation – “You have been charged with supernatural tasks. The first one is to love your family and the Cosmopolitan Community Church. We present to you they Stole, Badge, the WORD (Bible), and the Commission Certificate.”
