Community Health Takes Center Stage

Cook County’s 5th Annual Men’s & Families’ Health Fair.

On Thursday, September 25th, the South Side of Chicago became the epicenter of community wellness as Cook County Commissioner Bill Lowry of the 3rd District hosted the highly anticipated 5th Annual Men’s & Families’ Health Fair.

The event transformed New Life Covenant Church Southeast, located at 7621 S. Greenwood Avenue, into a bustling hub of health education, preventive care, and community connection under the gracious hospitality of Pastor John Hannah.

A Community United for Wellness

This milestone, the fifth annual event, drew an impressive gathering of over 40 health and wellness vendors, creating an unprecedented opportunity for families to access comprehensive healthcare resources under one roof.

The fair represented a powerful collaboration between local government, healthcare institutions, community organizations, and faith-based leadership, all working together to address the critical health needs of Chicago’s South Side residents.

This diverse coalition of vendors and partners reflected the event’s commitment to addressing health disparities through collaborative community action.

Building Community Through Giving

The fair’s commitment to accessibility was evident in its generous offering of free giveaways, raffles, and resources. These elements not only created excitement and engagement but also ensured that every family left with tangible resources to support their health journey.
