Introducing power couple, Mr. and Mrs. Apostle Dr. Consandra Harris-Wright and Coach Anthony Wright. Dr. Consandra holds a Ph.D., DD. Ed, and an MBA in Organization Management, while Coach Anthony has a Bachelor’s degree in Business. These accomplished individuals lead a life that is centered around the teachings of Luke 9:1-2, Matthew 28:19-20, and Acts 1:8. Their dedication to their faith and their mission to inspire others with their achievements are truly awe-inspiring.
Apostle Consandra completed her education at Simeon Vocational High School, Kennedy King College, Robert Morris, Roosevelt, and National Louis University.
Apostle Consandra has an impressive educational background, having attended esteemed institutions such as Moody Bible College, McCormick & Theological Seminary, Trinity Bible Seminary, and Moody Bible College. She possesses a diverse range of educational experiences.
In addition to her academic achievements, Apostle Consandra, now retired, served as a Police officer for 24 years in her hometown of Chicago. She worked as a law enforcement officer and community/neighborhood relations liaison, collaborating with city leaders, government officials, community organizations, churches, police departments, and citizens to create partnerships that could foster safe communities and opportunities for betterment for underserved groups.
Apostle Dr. Consandra Harris-Wright Apostle Consandra has founded/overseen and Pastored two churches and set up three different locations. In 2001, The Gate Called Beautiful Ministries was established in Chicago. In 2009, she established One Church Fellowship in the Roseland community. The latest development is the Church Out Ministries located in Bartram Park, Jacksonville, FL., which launched in 2023.
These ministries have been instrumental in disciplining and leading many souls to Christ. They have also provided food for over 1,000 needy and homeless individuals and set up food pantries, toy and coat drives, transitional housing, job training, counseling, and equipping leaders for ministry. Additionally, they have prayer teams that provide spiritual guidance and support.
Furthermore, Dr. Harris-Wright is a certified St. Jude-Police Chaplain, authorized to provide support and youth crisis intervention counseling.
Apostle Consandra is known for her unique approach to ministering to criminals whom she had arrested, leading them to Christ. Her exceptional work has earned her several awards and recognitions, including the Unsung Hero Award, Woman of Virtue Award, Community Service Award, Woman of Excellence Award, and Police Service Awards.
Apostle Consandra has devoted her life and heart to serving her community and others with genuine love and excellence since she was 17 years old. She served as a precinct captain in the Austin area of Chicago, under the leadership of then Alderman Danny K. Davis (now Congressman Danny K. Davis). She was also a Chairperson for the 29th ward back-to-school parade, a precinct captain in the 17th ward, and held a leadership role in the Young Democrats of America.
In 2014, Apostle Consandra ran for alderman in the 18th ward and founded The Safe Community Initiative organization. Despite facing challenges like losing a political election, she has never given up on making a difference and continues to make a positive impact through her various outreach initiatives, including transitional housing, career/job training, youth support, senior support, Christian counseling, prayer gatherings, and faith organization building.
Apostle Consandra’s dedication to serving the community is commendable, as she has worked tirelessly to help those in need, including prostitutes and individuals struggling with substance addiction.
She has always had a heart for outreach, saying, “God gave me the grace to walk the streets and engage people. I’ve always been very active and highly respected in communities, even to the point that I used to walk into gang gatherings on the street, and they would listen to me and often ask for prayer.”
When asked who she admires in ministry, Apostle Consandra responded, “My apostolic father, Chief Apostle William McCoy – the founder of Brother’s Keeper Outreach Ministries and International Pentecostal Assembly Ecumenical (IPAE) organization, of which I am an honorary Chairman and former board member. I appreciate his wisdom, sincerity, and support of women leaders in ministry. The great late Bishop Louis Jackson of IPAE, was the first female Bishop, a dear friend, and a prayer partner. I also served on the board of directors for Chief Apostle Kenneth Franklin, senior pastor of Christ For Everyone Church and Global Kingdom Builders.”
Other spiritual leaders, such as Apostle Denise Clark-Jackson from House Of Rhema Worship Center and Dr. Mildred C. Harris, have provided valuable wisdom and prayer guidance.
Apostle Consandra also admires her husband, Coach Anthony Wright. He was a Chicago school teacher for 25 years and has a heart for outreach, especially youth. As both an educator and youth basketball coach, Coach Wright has recruited, trained, inspired, counseled, fed, and helped many youths.
Additionally, Coach Wright graduated from Chicago Vocational High School and Bethune–Cookman University. However, Coach Wright was prompted to start his basketball coaching by Helen Johnson, who was the principal of Harper High School. Although initially hesitant, he quickly learned the aspects of the sport and became a basketball coach powerhouse for over 700 students.
Throughout his tenure, Coach Wright received over 300 awards, trophies, and plaques, including the Coach of the Year award. He had the honor of coaching NBA superstars such as Patrick Beverly, Kevin Garnett, and Tony Fisher (NFL), as well as other young athletes. Coach Wright also coached AAU basketball, and some of the young players he mentored went on to play basketball overseas in Europe.
Coach Wright also coached alongside Coach Wolf at Farragut High School. A few years ago, Coach Wright and Coach Wolf reconnected and traveled by invitation from Kevin Garnett to Boston to attend a Celtics game. They received a warm welcome, and Kevin even purchased Boston Celtics jackets.
Looking forward, Apostle Consandra and Coach Anthony Wright will continue their dedication to their vision through prayer gatherings, outreach, giveaways, and more. They believe this vision is the heart of God and founded it in Jacksonville, Florida.
