Chicago, IL. – On Saturday, May 4th, The 1st Annual President’s Lifetime Achievement Awards which celebrated local unsung champions. The event took place at the incredibly chic and upscale Beau Chateau in Alsip, Illinois.
The ceremony was hosted by Prophetess Shari Hoffman, CEO of Building God’s Kingdom In The Upper Room Intl Ministry and presented by Prophetess Kendria Moore, CEO and co-host of this prestigious gala.
The event was attended by a large number of guests, about 250 in total, who were all dressed in their finest attire. The honorees were greeted with VIP service upon their arrival. They were each introduced to the audience by their names and titles.
In addition, the honorees were recognized, for their service to the community with a signed plaque, silver medallion, and a letter from The White House & The President of the United States.
During the event, several individuals were honored for their contributions: Bashirah Muhammad (Bebe), Sheryl Abel Powell, Pastor Sereida Melker, Angela Akintayo, Pastor Dr., Marilyn Fenderson, Evg. LaTrice Wright, Dr. Pastor Jeanette Mobley, Anita Jefferson-Abney, Lawanda Jeanette Mendez, Pastor Angela Scott, Co-Pastor James Scott, Apostle Dr. Frank Cheesebourough, Apostle Dr. Bridget Outlaw, Evangelist Lemmie Battles, Yvette Lawrence, Deacon Tommie Lofton Sr., Min. Jacqueline S. Newman, Bishop Juliette Holmes-Campbell, Kamari Pugh, Vera M. Banks, Pastor Melody Marrow-Calhoun, Dr. Kina Peppers, and Apostle Kenneth Franklin.
The event commenced with the entrance of the Illinois State Police Department. Ayanna’s performance of the national anthem electrified the audience.
Pastor Paul Jakes the KEYNOTE SPEAKER representing Congressman Danny K. Davis’s office said, “Now is the time for black people to unite. We can not allow a man with orange hair and face to become the president of the United States. He is a distraction and disruptive to our way of life.”
“God has called me to “The Nobody’s” or “The No Names.” The ones who’ve been left behind and rejected. My heart’s desire is give leaders their flowers while they are living. To honor those who are actually doing the works unnoticeably. I promised God that I’m operating in “the who so ever will, let them come, spirit.” My job is to be a door opener, because that’s who he’s called me to be,” Prophetess Kendria said.
